Wake Up, America

It’s time to wake up and open our eyes. There is no more hiding from Jesus and what He is doing. There are thousands of missionaries freshly off the field and flooding the States right now. There is no hiding from us.

Some of you may be in denial of what the Lord has been doing in your life whether that be your entire life time or this season. I am going to give you an insight of what it’s like being a missionary just pulled from the field.

We are on fire. We have spent our time ministering to people in mud huts, under ground churches, street corners and so much more. I have looked people in the eyes that have never accepted Jesus and just start crying when they feel His overwhelming presence. I have worked along side pastors as they tirelessly swing the hammer day after day trying to expand their church because it is overflowing in the middle of a village, yet they have the biggest smile on their face, because what an amazing problem to have. I have sat across the table from a prostitute that has worked the streets since she was 8 years old just to let her know that she is loved by her Heavenly Father. These experiences don’t make any of us better than anyone, we just have insight now that we can bring back to the States and encourage you to rally with us. 

In the States, we are SO lucky and blessed to have churches on every corner.

We have options, y’all.

We get into our cars, drive 5 minutes down the road passing three churches on the way to our preferred church, sit in the audience, zone out for a few minutes, get up and walk out the door. The American church needs revival, now!

Just because you sit in church every Sunday, doesn’t mean you’re living life for the King. We have to die to ourselves every day and live for Him. It’s so easy to fall into the 9-5 motion that is “The American Dream”. 

Living a Holy Spirit lead life is the best decision I have ever made. That doesn’t mean every day is sunshine and rainbows. Heck, I am experiencing the worst heartbreak I ever have right now. But I know that God is good and He is bigger than all of this. He is grieving right along side me and meeting me where I am at in this pain. He doesn’t cause pain, but He doesn’t waste a moment you walk through. He is using all of this right now, even if we can’t see it yet. And trust me, I have no idea what He is doing. But that’s the beautiful thing, He never does the same thing twice.      

Are you going to scrape by to be a Christian or are you going to be on fire for our God and live life for Him? It’s a big decision, but I promise you it’s the best decision. Jesus Christ is waiting for you to just run towards Him, He is a patient Father. He holds no anger and no judgment. He is just waiting for His children to run home to Him with open arms.
